Social Capital
As well as being not-for-profit, Chilled in a Field Festival is a Social Enterprise. This means that instead of generating lots of money, we create benefits to the people who work for and with us.
Supporting Ambitions
The whole team behind Chilled in a Field Festival are volunteers - from the steward at the gate to the Festival Directors themselves. What we all have in common is a passion for live events, and a desire to learn and grow our skills. Since our first event in 2010 we've been supporting our team in their career and life ambitions:
Crew of all Abilities
We work with crew from all ages and backgrounds, including people living with physical or learning disabilities or mental health problems. We're pleased to be able to give everyone the chance to gain new skills, and be part of putting on such a special event.
A Bit for Charity
Through our friends at Wonderland, Chilled in a Field Festival is delighted to support Wonder Years Centre of Excellence, an amazing charity helping a village in The Gambia have a brighter future. So, as you’re having fun, you’re also fundraising to provide free education, school buildings, renewable energy, healthcare, and jobs helping Gambians take control of their lives – so party on!
A Green Party
Chilled in a Field is proud to be one of the first festivals to join Festival Vision 20:25, pledging to achieve a 50% reduction in UK festival greenhouse gas emissions by 2025. More here...

What we all have in common is a passion for live events, and a desire to learn and grow our skills. Since our first event in 2010 we've been supporting our team in their career and life ambitions:
- Our social media volunteer became our marketing coordinator and has gone on to build a successful career in digital marketing in the charity sector.
- Our Chilled in a Field cooks have now switched careers to set up their own festival catering company, The Kaleidoscope Kitchen, with bookings at festivals and food markets all over the UK.
- Little scouse singer-songwriter Lou had her first ever gig on our stage in 2013 and last year won the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition with her band She Drew The Gun and is selling out venues across the UK and abroad.
